Purpose of the Camden & Islington Business Awards
To recognise and celebrate those business owners inCamdenand Islington who have successfully grown and maintained their business positioning throughout 2010 and 2011. It is also an opportunity to increase the exposure of the local businesses within theCamdenand Islington Area.
Nominations are welcome from:
- Self-employed business owners
- SMEs
- Businesses with 5+ employees
- Business partnerships
- Social enterprises
- Charities & Community Interest Companies
Companies are welcome to nominate themselves or their business clients may suggest a nomination – the chamber will then invite companies to complete the nomination form.
Criteria for Awards
Finalists are those that demonstrate excellence, best practice and going the extra mile in their business activity in Islington orCamden. Nominations should be in the form of text, with a maximum of 300 words.
Only nominations including evidence/testimonials from at least 1 client of the nominee will be accepted. In the text, the business must clearly indicate what they have done (in the past 12 months) that they believe is over and above what could normally be expected and why they believe they are worthy of winning the awards.
A business may enter more than 1 award.
Please note that the shortlist and final shortlist judging panel will only make their decisions based on the text within the nomination form. No attachments or other literature will be provided to the judges.
The ICoC is committed to donating a percentage of not less than 10% of its profits to both charity partners.
